Email Netiquette
I know this is old hat for some of you, but many people still send out bulk email to friend and family and unknowingly open they up to spamming.
Today's Tracy's Tip is about sending bulk email from your email client.
When sending email to multiple recipients, it is proper internet etiquette (netiquette) to hide the email addresses. You do this by putting all the addresses in the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy field). You find it under CC when composing an email. If you are using Outlook, and it is not there, look for the options button, click the arrow near it and choose BCC. Then put your email address in the To field. This way you are not sharing peoples email addresses with people they might now know. Some people don’t like that, because of SPAM and all.
